Lemon Frosting Recipe – Lemon Vanilla Cupcake Frosting Recipe

Lemon vanilla cupcake frosting recipe ingredients:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup sugar, granulated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 lemon
  • 5.3 oz butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 cups confectioners’ sugar

Lemon frosting recipe instruction:

Beat egg yolks with granulated sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and lemon zest. Cook this on the steam stirring it all the time till it thickens (about 10 minutes).

Remove lemon cream from heat and cool it (stir it often).

Beat butter with confectioners’ sugar and mix it with cooled lemon cream.

Vanilla lemon cupcake frosting is ready for your gourmet cupcakes.
